Sam Soleyn - From Type and Shadow to Reality Pt7

I was very delighted that you had the opportunity ….to be exposed to Michael Barrett. He says things in ways I wish I could. One of the great lessons of my life is the blessing of traveling companions that God has given me on this journey. Michael is number one in that category.

Michael was very effective in speaking about the reality of this and of entering in to it today. I want to take a step back from that.

A house is a multigenerational family. The house of God is not particularly a location. It is not the location itself. The locations in which the house of God are, are to be found in heaven and earth.

The house is multi-dimensional. All spiritual things are multi-dimensional. It may operate as easily in heaven as on earth.

Tempest is the Latin word for time. That which is bound by time. An eternal thing is not bound by time. It may exist within time, and also as it is natively, in the eternal. That is why Jesus could say, “Before Moses was, I am.” The Lamb of God was slain before the foundation of the world, and, 2000 years ago. The slaying of the lamb is an eternal reality.

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Revelation 13:8)

Michael introduced us to the concept that “today” is concerned with our awareness and revelation.

That is why before God brings things into reality, He gives them to us prophetically. The day really begins at midnight. So when the light comes, it reveals what was in the dark; but it was always there. That result of that which God foreknew, becomes permanent change. The thing that God means to give permanently into the earth is His house. In increasing measure. Because His house restores His rule on the earth. The thing is subject to the rule of His sons. When His sons don’t rule properly, creation groans. Creation was meant to be ruled optimally. Whether sons or angels, the earth is not designed to be ruled under ‘fallen ness.’

All creation is designed to support the rule of the righteous. That’s why the righteous one can say to the storm, “Peace. I command you to be still.” The fallen and “un-fallen” ways of ruling creation are different. If you’re fallen, you need technology. But, if your ‘un-fallen,’ you may sleep in the storm, because it has no ability to threaten the un-fallen. One of the 7 spirits of God is the “spirit of Lordship.” This spirit is what Jesus used to calm the storm. Some time ago the Lord gave me revelation on those seven spirits. (See Isaiah 11)

Now the thing that God means to give to the earth is greater and greater manifestations of the rule of the righteous. When He first brought a son into the earth, what was his first command? Rule.

An orphan rules very differently than a son. After Adam’s sin, he was very pre-occupied with provision and protection (as we all also have been). We are all aware of the vulnerability of the flesh. You cannot harm a spirit by physical circumstances. He doesn’t need clothing. When the rule of the righteous has been subverted, then our entire rule is subject to those results. If you have those desires first and foremost, (if you must first secure provision and protection), everything about you will be governed by these.

You won’t rule in a way that will represent the will of God. So what God does for us, is from time, He gives us increasing opportunities and examples, as in Ephesians 3. ‘Dispensation’ should never have been used to define time periods. It’s used by theologians to explain why God doesn’t do any more what He used to do. This is what religion has done to a perfectly good concept.

What do you mean when you say ‘dispensation?’ English pharmacies are called dispensaries. A dispensation is a giving out. Not about a limitation of time, but about a giving out of a thing. Its original intent in a word, is a giving out. What does God dispense? If someone is dispensing something, it’s dispensing something. Go to a seminary, dispensation is about a time epoch. Otherwise it’s giving something off the back of a truck.

Corporations – multi membered arrangement. Stay with me. This is all relevant.

Economics 101 teaches you that you will attend a venture with all those supports that will make it successful.

A bubble that supports the creation and the roll out of the thing. Because you want it to be successful. Unless you want it to be an exercise in futility.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

The child is incapable; the son is a mature son. That’s why it says “to as many as receive Him, He gives the power to become…”,

But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:

This is not the immature son who puts on display the glory of His father, and who is the exact representation of His being; he’s to become mature. But there is a process that brings one to that. So when the time comes, the previous economy or season gives way, and God gives an order to His house that remedies the problems in the kingdom in the earth in that time.

Sons are to be given with healing in their wings in the coming age. The Body of Christ has been comprised of many members in varying epochs. So what God gave before was an order and expression of His house sufficient for those times. The administration of grace (or economy{ies}) were suitable for those times. It’s a one-to-one correlation to need. The church of the first century wouldn’t know how to get around on a freeway. The mindset of those in the 1^st century would be very different from those in the 21^st.

Needless to say, God knew the differences that would need to obtain for the current times.

He gives us antecedents. He presents these before in type and shadow. Its familiar to us in the same way so that when the son comes, He should be recognizable. In type and shadow of something profound that’s coming is the household of Abraham, the nation of Israel. When the nation of Israel was formed, it was formed in connection with a promise and two elements 1: I’m going to redeem mankind. I’m going to redeem all mankind. This was the purpose for the establishing Israel. 2) But this can’t be done apart from bringing forth from that nation, a Seed. Understand that every seed God means to put through death and resurrection.

This is the purpose of every seed. Otherwise you’re consenting to the encased seed as though it were the whole. A seed is the way you contain a promise until the day the promise is to be revealed. Jesus was meant to be revealed by death and resurrection. He did not separate Himself from the potential of the resurrection. Unless a seed falls into the ground and dies, it is alone. The revelation of the advent of the Seed was never meant to be construed alone. Because God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. This cannot be construed on any level as something that could be done alone.

The purpose of the Seed is to fall into the ground and die, so that He could be resurrected as the Christ, in whom the spirit of all men could be placed as they are resurrected.

There is no purpose for Israel apart from being the shell for this Seed. Without the seed, the promise is meaningless. It took an entire nation with its culture to bring forth the seed so that it would be understandable as the seed. God couldn’t save the world the day after Adam sinned. Because the whole human race was in Adam, and we all died with him. It took 4000 years to overcome this. If it is on the basis of our individual accomplishments we could never have been saved.

Levi tithed to Melchizedek when he was in the loins of Abraham, even though Levi was 4 generations away.

When you are in the loins of another, what that individual does affects you personally. We all died in Adam. The contamination of Adam affects all of us. I understand you’ve been hijacked by doctrines that say you don’t have a choice as to whether or not you’ll be saved because you’re a descendant of Adam. God established the means by which all can be saved. This is not about neutrality; there was none of that. Before he made us, because of His goodness, He prepared a way for us to be saved.

This is why he makes provision for those who are in the loins of the righteous. He attributes righteousness to your children. God views all humanity through these two sons. He gives what the fathers have accomplished to their sons.

He put fruit trees in the earth …why? All kinds of fruit…because as long as the earth was to last, there would always need to be seed time and harvest. It would take 4000 years in human time until the right day would come. The Son appeared in the earth, to save all that might be saved. So it was necessary to have a race that incubated a culture. But you cannot distinguish a race from its culture. Why would God treat any race of mankind with a special distinction?

Why would Abraham’s race be any different from the others? Our problem is we don’t go back far enough. We don’t ask the right questions. We need a race to incubate a culture. Apart from the race, it has no distinctiveness. Here’s the point in the natural: it took a race to create a culture that permitted him to be presented in the flesh. That would be the place on the earth where the Son would have a place to rest. Paul in Romans asks “What advantage does the Jew have over the others?

What advantage then hath the Jew? Or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?” (Romans 3:1-3)

They should have recognized Him!” If God sends you the Son and you don’t receive Him, are you still entitled? No. But He will give it to them. It’s not a matter of their entitlement, but of the nature of God.

The flesh profits nothing. Not a bondsman, nor free. Male nor female. God is the Father of your spirit.

The only thing that angers me much is the abuse of God’s children for money gain.

There is a “Seed,” therefore there must be a resurrection. Because a seed is the natural containing the eternal. And until the eternal is released, the shadow can never transmute to the real. No profit to you to gain the whole world.

Because of the need to create the culture, to receive the seed, an entire race was required. What is also true, is that it required an entire holy race to put on display what was in Him.

Ephesians 4 discusses coming to the fullness of the stature of Christ. What Paul is talking about is the training, equipping and forming of a culture that ultimately is meant to be displayed apart from a holy race. Now Abraham’s family gives us an idea how this holy race is formed.

Because often when you are speaking about the carnal nature of man, you may refer to it as the soul or the flesh. Because one produces the other. It shows the flesh unrestrained. What you do in your body is reflective of the control of your body by your soul. ‘Flesh,’ ‘carnal’ and ‘soul’ are all expressions often used to express the same thing.

A house is a multi-dimensional family. You may speak about such as a father and a son. Or as his family. When you speak about the house of God, you may speak about it as the household of God. Or a holy nation. Different usages of familiar terms.

Achan, upon the fall of Jericho, steals from himself. On the principle of the firstfruits which we’re all to bring it God.

The arrival of an order is imminent…your understanding of it can be seen in the offering of firstfruits. You are saying to God, I want to say to you, “I want to say to you, that I know more is coming.” The tithe is a privilege. God will still bless you, because He is your father. Don’t “give, so that,” but because you are rejoicing in your sonship.

When you get the ‘first things,’ you give them to Him. You understand that your security is in Him. An orphan will keep the first things.

The monkey will never let go. The way God frees you from this is called the firstfruits. When you can let go of that, you are free. You have been released from the base elements of your soul. You can never be controlled by your needs. And He wants a people who are free.

This is why he wanted Jericho’s firstfruits. ‘Look, I didn’t dispossess the people of this land because you are better. I did because of Who I am’. To learn to walk in that is to become better than animals.

They go to the next city, to Ai, and 36 people die. And ran the rest of the Israelites off. They were discombobulated. They were utterly confused. What’s going on? There is sin in the camp. How do you find the sin in a camp when there’s a million people? We get insight here into Abraham’s family here.

Households – that of Zimri ---325 armed soldiers – (more than Abraham fathered)

Had stolen a wedge of gold – just out of Egypt – now wants to dress like a Babylonian.

In 1^st Corinthians 11 – this principle is incorporated in the communion. You are failing to discern the Lord’s body. Because you do, some are weak, and sick, and some die. All the parts are many. The fullness of father/son is put on display here – that they may all be one. The very outcome of the gospel depends on it.

This is not agreeing with one another. But putting on display the father/son relationship.

Acts 5/ Achan. A repeat in the New Testament of the same thing God taught in the Old.

They conspired together. Sopphira knew about it. But she had a higher responsibility than just the preservation of her husband.

It begins with a spiritual unit: father / sons. (not gender specific) The woman is a type and shadow of the Bride. The man in marriage is a type and shadow of Christ. Behold I show you a mystery – husband/wife.

“For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.” (Ephesians 5:30-33)

But when you are speaking about relationships between fathers and sons, there is a definitive statement on that. We are neither male nor female. Sons of God are not male. Their flesh matters not. The role of the father and son is to model God the father. The father in that relationship is mature enough, to show the younger who God the Father is. This is the model promised in the earth. Foreshadowed by the spirit of Elijah. Elijah announced that Elisha had a double portion. Elisha asked Elijah for an inheritance – a double portion of his spirit. Not for money. Because he was not his natural son. He asked for a double portion of his spirit. When he saw Elijah going up, he cried out, ‘My father, my father.

“Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord.

He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.” (Malachi 4:5-6)

“For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, John himself is ^aElijah who ¹was to come. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” (Matthew 11:13-15)

Luke 1:17 – the angel tells Zacharia you will name this child John and he will go on in the spirit and power of Elijah .

“It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” (Luke 1:17)

Why is this ‘a big deal?’ Because to carry on the roll of the father’s house, God would give a promise to a father that -- as with the promise to Judah – the scepter will not depart from that house. Promises to fathers are to be lived out multi-generationally.

For this to be possible, you would need an estate to maintain the family until the promise could be made good. The oldest son was known as the primo-genitor. He got the double portion to t do this – the oldest son.

So, Elijah was not the one with the double portion. Elijah when he came would announce the One when it came.

The one who was announced had the double portion. This age began by an announcement by John the Baptist about this anointed One. If you see Him, you will see the Father. The Everlasting Father. The cry towards Him would be ‘My father, my Father. Jesus cries out the same. The intent of God is to put you in a spiritual house that models this principle. This is why the father has a double anointing. It’s to preserve the house. So the younger may see the anointing in the father. (double)

Families are gathered together by households, governed by a more mature father. Obey those who have the rule over you.

It was easy to get an internship in S. Africa internship for my son Nick. Because of my household relationships there. It’s the culture of an orphan that says “I got it the hard way.”

The benefit is still to the sons in the above. The estate of the father of the household is available to those under him.

The role of an elder is to look after all the families he has while he’s fellowshipping with others doing the same.

To protect against things that are harmful, and encourage those which are beneficial.

It’s not to be surprising for an elder to bring up needs that are in his house. Because those in his household may not have the resources to supply a need, other households being asked would be normal.

Another person could be given to supply a need – one house to another. All of this is found in Ephesians 4.

These things are discussed in the gates. Every one knows that which sheep belongs to which household.

And there will be no sheep stealing. You are free to come and go in the house of God, because the whole house is yours. This exchange in the city of spiritual and natural gifts, takes place irrespective of status and race. You’ve solved the problem of racism, economic disparity, hostility in neighborhoods. Secular leaders will come and ask you “How you do that?”

There are national interests – the things that are true about South Africa, that are distinct. A clan speaks to a national interest. A tribe speaks to a global interest. God is after establishing patriarchs at these various levels. Do not ever think of a tribe as a denomination.

If there exists a problem in Jerusalem, by the full expression of it, how do you deal with this?

An apostolic father, who has been rejected and nearly killed there, would give orders to the tribes in Macedonia, Corinth, Galatia to take up offerings with the intent of sending a massive relief to them?

Because he is connected /related to Peter. As a fellow apostle and spiritual patriarch. Because at the end of the day you are a holy nation.

It takes an entire nation to put on display the glory that was locked up in Jesus.

I’ve just been asked to be on a committee in Zimbabwe to participate in the administration of this new order, based upon a message a son of mine brought two years ago. His son is now chairing the committee that is to manage this. I am before the Lord that He may be ready to receive the entire tribe in Zimbabwe.
