Nepios Son

Nepios - Infant, baby not old enough to speak or function.

The stage of Nepios is a good place to start even if you have been a believer for many years as there may be some things you were not taught that are critical to your maturing process.

The first thing you must confirm is that you are a son.  That means if you haven’t already, you need to receive the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart (John 11:25-26).  All you need to do is to ask the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart.  From this point on, you are son.  You will still need to mature, but you have become a son when you received Christ!

The first stage of sonship is Nepios.  The characteristics of a Nepios son:

-          Infant not old enough to speak or function

-          Make sounds of selfish whining over his provision and protection

-          Is an heir, but not mature enough to handle his inheritance (Gal 4:1-7)

-          Easily influenced by various situations, teachings and schemes of men

-          Easily given into jealously, quarreling, divisions and boasting (1 Cor 3:1-3)

-          In desperate need of tutors

Scriptures that Explain the Nepios Son:

Galatians 4:1-7

What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces[a] of the world. But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.[b] Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[c] Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3

Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?

1 Corinthians 13:11

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

Below are the Recommended Teachings:

-          Sons of God – Studio Series 58-75 by Sam Soleyn

-          Holy Nation – Midland – Conference Series by Sam Soleyn

The series, “Sons of God” will give you a deep understanding of what it means to be a son of God.  The first building block to your destiny is to know you are a son.  God declared that he would have sons, that we would even be Royal Priests.  That we as sons also have an inheritance.  We can enter into these things if we will choose to come to maturity in God.  God’s goal is that He is All in All, meaning all of who He is, is represented by all of us as sons!  It is a privilege and an honor to be a son of God.  We are no longer slaves or orphans, but sons of God.

The series “Holy Nation” will give you the big picture, how sons fit into the Holy Nation.  When you understand the big picture, it shows you where you are headed and why it’s so important to understand the basics of sonship.  The order of God’s House is being restored.  God’s goal is to be All in All.  That the Glory and Excellence of the Father is put on display in us as the House of God!  It begins with the restoration of the father/son relationship.  When this relationship is in order, then God can begin to build his house so that ultimately a Holy Nation will arise.
