We offer Audio Podcasts of teachings from Sam Soleyn. URLs for our audio podcasts are provided at the right-hand side of this page. We have four audio podcasts availalbe to subscribe to. We have two audio podcasts that provide the latest Studio and Local teachings by Sam. We also have two audio archive podcasts that provide older Studio and Local teachings from Sam. Our audio podcasts will be updated with the latest teachings available. Video podcasts will be coming soon! What is Podcasting? From Wikipedia: A podcast is a series of digital media files, usually digital audio or video, that is made available for download via Web syndication. The syndication aspect of the delivery is what differentiates podcasts from other files accessible by direct download or streaming: it means that special software applications, generically known as podcatchers can automatically identify and retrieve new files associated with the podcast when they are made available, and that these files can be stored locally on the user's computer or other device for offline use. This is done by the podcatcher accessing a centrally-maintained Web feed, which lists files associated with a certain podcast. |

Podcast Instructions Download and install podcast software We have listed below three pieces of podcast software, but if you need to search you can find additional programs available for both Macintosh and Windows. This software is typically free. You will need to download and install software that will search the Web to find the latest teaching and automatically download it to your computer.
Subscribe to the Podcasts Once the software is installed, you will need to subscribe to the podcasts. How you do this will vary depending on which software you have chosen. Here is an example of how this might work with Itunes. Subscribing using Itunes You will not be able to locate our podcast by searching the directory as we are not listed in the Itunes podcast directory. You will need to subscribe manually. The instructions are provided below.
1. In Itunes select Advanced from the menu at the top of the screen. If you wish to subscribe to all of our audio podcasts available, you will need to repeat the same process but enter the appropriate URL. Subscribe using other software programs You will need to copy the feed address and paste it into your podcast software. How you do this will depend on your software. Look for buttons, links or menu items that say "Add" or "Subscribe". Listen to the audio podcast When a new teaching or set of teachings become available for the podcast you have subscribed to, your software will automatically download it. You can choose to listen to the audio from your computer or transfer the files to a portable audio player. Check the settings of your podcast software for details on how often it will check for new updates to the podcast page. This will vary depending on the software you are using and your personal preferences. If you decide you no longer want to recieve the podcasts available on this page, it should be very easy to unsubscribe. Look for "Clear" or "Unsubscribe" options in the Podcast application. |
